Who are We?

The Northwest Purchasing Education Council was formed in June 2002 by ISM affiliates in Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon and Washington to promote purchasing and supply management educational opportunities in the Pacific Northwest.

The Pacific Northwest Purchasing Conference is a great way to stay in touch with new developments, establish relationships and hone supply chain management skills. Cost effective and close to home, local conferences maximize our educational ROI.

Sid Brown is an inspiration to many, following his 46 year career in the procurement and supply chain management industry. Sid realized at a young age that to have a successful career, you need to continue your personal education throughout your life. The Oregon Mid-Valley Purchasing & Supply Management Association (OMV) created the Sid A. Brown Procurement & Supply Chain Management Scholarship to recognize and appreciate Sid’s legacy and dedication to education.
Sid’s passion and commitment to advancing the profession led to the founding of the OMV Chapter of the Institute for Supply Management. He dedicated over 35 years to providing education and mentoring of others in his profession. This new scholarship is intended to support deserving students enrolled in procurement and supply chain management programs at Chemeketa in their personal growth through education.
We are so grateful for the legacy Sid left and the generosity of the Oregon Mid-Valley Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Association.
