Welcome to the National Association of Purchasing Management-Spokane.  NAPM-Spokane is a nonprofit corporation, dedicated to promoting and improving the professionalism of its members. 

NAPM-Spokane is an affiliate of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).

Membership is open to those in purchasing and materials management fields actively engaged in some aspect of the purchasing function.  NAPM-Spokane's membership consists of purchasing professionals from companies and public agencies in Spokane and Northern Idaho.  They represent a full spectrum of manufacturing, government and service operations.

Mission Statement

NAPM-Spokane, a professional purchasing and supply management organization, is dedicated to providing quality education, networking opportunities and professional development to its members.  We foster leadership qualities and encourage active involvement, offering a forum to build valuable personal and professional relationships in the business community.

NAPM-Spokane Structure:

NAPM-Spokane is governed by: a President, 1st Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Northwest Purchasing Education Council Director, and five Trustees.  Committees such as Membership, Education, Communications and others contribute to the achievement of NAPM-Spokane's overall purpose.  The ethics program at NAPM has provided a supportive environment for sound ethical business practices for its membership.  Their "Principles and Standards of Conduct Purchasing Practice" remains one of the outstanding ethics statement in modern business.

Founded in 1915, the National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM)], is one of the most respected professional organizations in the United States. In 2001, NAPM changed their name to ISM (Institute for Supply Management).   ISM is a communication link with more than 35,000 professionals just like you - success-oriented men and women striving for excellence in performance.  As a progressive association, ISM's mission is to provide national and international leadership in purchasing and materials management research and education.  Through various resources and a network of more than 170 affiliates throughout the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, ISM provides opportunities for parishioners to expand their professional skills and knowledge.  ISM seeks to stimulate public interest in, and foster a better understanding of purchasing and materials management concepts.

Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (A.P.P.) Designations Program, which is designed to serve entry level buyers.
